Flydubai is set to announce the resumption of its flights to Syria in the coming weeks, as confirmed by the airline’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, during his media interaction at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai. Al Ghaith shared that the airline is currently finalizing the operational details for these flights, ensuring that the service will meet the required standards.
“We are in the process of studying the operational details regarding our flights to Syria,” said Al Ghaith. “Flydubai will announce its flight schedule to Syria soon, and we are excited to resume operations as soon as all necessary preparations are in place.”
This announcement comes on the heels of Flydubai’s support for the recent announcement by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regarding enhanced air connectivity in the region. Flydubai expressed its continued coordination with relevant authorities to ensure smooth and safe operations. The airline stressed that further details about the resumption of flights to Syria would be revealed once all necessary approvals and preparations are completed. 
The resumption of Flydubai’s flights to Syria follows the positive step taken by Syrian Airlines, which resumed flights to Dubai International Airport in early April 2025.
