UAE Grand Tours: 14-Day Itineraries to Explore All 7 Emirates Soon

The UAE is set to launch a new tourism initiative, the UAE Grand Tours, which will offer visitors the opportunity to explore all seven emirates through immersive 14-day itineraries. This ambitious project aims to showcase the UAE’s diverse attractions, from family-friendly experiences to cultural, environmental, and adventure tourism.

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, led a recent meeting in Abu Dhabi where they discussed the concept of these 14-day itineraries. The initiative includes the creation of a digital platform to provide tourists with easy access to various travel packages that cover all of the UAE’s iconic landmarks.

The UAE’s tourism authorities, in collaboration with tour operators, will design customized packages that cater to various interests. These tours will not only highlight the UAE’s cultural and natural beauty but also aim to extend visitors’ stays by offering comprehensive travel experiences across the emirates. This project is expected to boost the country’s tourism sector and increase the average length of tourist visits, allowing travelers to fully immerse themselves in the unique culture and attractions each emirate has to offer.

The initiative also aligns with the UAE’s broader tourism strategy, which focuses on sustainable development and innovative projects. As part of the ongoing efforts to promote the UAE as a leading global tourism destination, the UAE Grand Tours project will run year-round, targeting both regional and international visitors.

In addition, the project’s long-term vision may connect with the upcoming GCC Grand Tours Visa, which would enable tourists to visit multiple countries within the Gulf region using a single visa, similar to the Schengen visa in Europe. However, it remains uncertain whether the UAE Grand Tours will be linked to this new regional visa system.

According to Al Marri, “We, at the Emirates Tourism Council, work in cooperation with our partners in the public and private sectors, and we are keen to develop the national tourism system through strategic initiatives and innovative projects.” The UAE’s tourism industry has performed remarkably well in 2024, with hotel revenues rising by 3% and occupancy rates hitting 78%, making it one of the highest globally. Hotel guest numbers have grown by 9.5% year-on-year, with 16 new hotels opening their doors in the past year.

The project’s rollout is expected to provide a significant boost to the UAE’s tourism sector, encouraging longer stays, greater spending, and a more diverse tourism experience across the emirates.
