Dubai: The UAE is experiencing widespread foggy conditions this morning, prompting red and yellow fog alerts in various parts of the country. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned that these foggy conditions will persist until 9 am today, impacting major routes such as Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah International Airport.
Drivers should be cautious, as the NCM issued an alert about deteriorating horizontal visibility. In some areas, the fog may reduce visibility to as low as 100 meters, particularly along the northern coastal regions. As a result, it is important for motorists to drive at reduced speeds and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. 
The weather is expected to remain dry, but temperatures will rise significantly during the day. Highs across coastal and island regions will be between 36°C and 40°C, while lows will range from 17°C to 22°C. Expect light to moderate winds throughout the day, with speeds up to 35 km/h.
This foggy weather is common during early mornings, especially during the transition between seasons. The NCM advises the public to stay informed about weather developments through official channels, particularly if planning to travel or engage in outdoor activities. Be sure to keep your headlights on while driving in foggy conditions and avoid sudden lane changes or high-speed maneuvers.
Authorities also emphasize the importance of staying hydrated and wearing sun protection as temperatures rise later in the day.
