Ras Al Khaimah American Academy has launched a groundbreaking International Leadership in Business program this April, partnering with Ivy Camps. Hosted in Singapore, the 10-day immersive experience brought together top high school students, offering them a unique opportunity to gain practical insights into global business practices.
This initiative exemplifies the academy’s dedication to fostering the next generation of global leaders by providing a comprehensive learning environment. The program aimed to nurture not only business acumen but also cross-cultural understanding, preparing students to succeed in a rapidly evolving, interconnected world.
Sheikh Faisal Al Qassimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah American Academy, expressed his excitement for the program, saying, “We are committed to supporting ambitious students, offering them opportunities to grow beyond the classroom and acquire real-world experiences that will empower them for future success.”
Throughout the program, students participated in interactive sessions led by globally recognized organizations such as IBM, Cisco, and the UAE Embassy in Singapore. These engagements provided participants with an inside look at multinational companies’ strategies and operations, focusing on leadership, innovation, and global market trends.
The immersive experience culminated in a pitch session, where students presented their business ideas to a panel of mock investors. This exercise sharpened their abilities in market analysis, business planning, and fundraising, providing them with essential skills for launching their entrepreneurial ventures.
A special emphasis was placed on empowering young women. The program aimed to enhance their college readiness while inspiring confidence and ambition through mentorship and hands-on experiences in the global business arena. Nourjannah Hendi, Chief Business Officer of Ivy Camps, stated, “Our goal was to provide these young women with the tools and experience to thrive in innovative business environments long before entering college.”
This initiative not only fosters an entrepreneurial spirit among students but also prepares them to take on leadership roles in the future, shaping a more dynamic, diverse, and innovative business world.
