The Ministry of Haj and Umrah has announced the final dates for Umrah pilgrims to enter and leave Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims must enter the Kingdom by April 13, and they must depart by April 29. Any pilgrims staying beyond these deadlines will face legal consequences, including penalties.
This decision is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to prepare for the upcoming Haj season, ensuring smooth operations for both Umrah and Haj pilgrims.
Pilgrims planning to perform Umrah are required to obtain a visa, followed by an Umrah permit, which can be accessed via the Nusuk app. It is essential for pilgrims to ensure they use licensed operators for their travel and accommodation arrangements. These operators must be approved by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments to ensure their services meet the required standards.
Violation of the regulations can result in severe fines, with individuals, campaign organizers, and agencies facing penalties of up to Dh50,000. This measure underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all pilgrims.
In preparation for the influx of Umrah performers, the Ministry has called on both local and international travel operators to adhere strictly to guidelines that facilitate a safe and organized pilgrimage experience.
