Dubai Biker Nabbed for Performing Dangerous Stunts at High Speeds

A biker in Dubai has been arrested and had his motorcycle impounded after viral footage captured him performing life-threatening stunts at extremely high speeds on public roads.

Dubai Police released a video showing the masked rider dangerously maneuvering his motorcycle—at one point, even letting go of the handlebars—while speeding down a major highway. These reckless acts endangered the rider’s life and put other motorists at serious risk.

The arrest comes under the strict provisions of Decree No. 30 of 2023, which allows for vehicle impoundment and the imposition of fines of up to Dh50,000. Authorities have confirmed that a release fee may also be charged before the vehicle is returned.

The viral video triggered a swift response from law enforcement, reinforcing the UAE’s zero-tolerance approach to dangerous driving behaviors.

In a similar incident earlier this month, Sharjah Police arrested a 20-year-old Arab motorcyclist after a video showed him performing stunts on public roads. Legal action was taken against him, and his bike was impounded. Authorities also revealed that 19 vehicles had been seized earlier this year for similar violations across the emirate.

Both Dubai and Sharjah police are intensifying their crackdown on reckless drivers and encouraging residents to report such violations through official channels.

Authorities are urging thrill-seekers to consider the safety of others and themselves, highlighting that the roads are not meant for showboating or stunts.

Authorities Urge Riders to Be Responsible

Law enforcement agencies are reminding all road users that public roads are not a playground for stunts. Performing tricks at high speed violates traffic laws and puts lives at serious risk. Authorities have urged social media users to avoid glorifying such acts and instead report them through official channels such as the Dubai Police app or hotline.
