Emirates Launches Retro-Fitted A380s to Manchester and Milan

Emirates is preparing to enhance its flight experience with the introduction of newly retrofitted Airbus A380s on its routes to Manchester and Milan. The upgraded aircraft, featuring luxurious cabins including Premium Economy, will commence operations to Manchester on 6 June and to Milan on 1 July.

With this new addition, Emirates expands its network of retrofitted A380 destinations to a total of 19 global points, further solidifying its position as a leader in aviation luxury. The service to Manchester will increase Premium Economy seat availability to nearly 5,000 weekly seats across the UK. This move complements Emirates’ extensive A380 network, which already includes four daily retrofitted flights between Dubai and London Heathrow, along with a new A350 flying to Edinburgh and a Boeing 777 that will soon serve London Stansted starting in May.

As the second Italian city to feature Emirates’ upgraded cabins, Milan follows the deployment of Emirates’ A350 to Bologna later in June. The retrofitted A380 will operate the EK017/018 services to Manchester and EK091/092 to Milan. These flights will offer travelers the ability to enjoy the airline’s cutting-edge cabin features, which include larger and more comfortable premium economy seats, ensuring a smoother and more relaxing journey.

Emirates’ retrofitted A380s have been designed to make long-haul flights even more enjoyable. The premium economy cabin is strategically positioned at the front of the main deck, offering 56 seats in a 2-4-2 layout. These seats provide ample space, including generous pitch and width, making them perfect for both relaxation and work. Each seat also features in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table for enhanced convenience.

The retrofitted A380s will offer a seamless travel experience to key destinations across Asia and Australasia, including Sydney, Singapore, Osaka, Mumbai, and Bangalore, starting from both Manchester and Milan. Travelers can look forward to the ultimate in luxury, comfort, and service as Emirates continues to redefine air travel.
