Dubai, UAE: Lulu Group has entered into a strategic alliance with Awqaf Dubai (the Endowment and Minors Trust Foundation), signaling an exciting new chapter in the expansion of the retailer’s hypermarkets and supermarkets across the city. This partnership is set to enhance the shopping experience for Dubai residents and visitors by providing modern retail options within future community projects managed by Awqaf Dubai.
The first Lulu hypermarket under this collaboration is slated to open in Khawaneej-2 by mid-2025, marking the beginning of several new developments planned across the city. This collaboration highlights the growing demand for accessible and world-class retail options in Dubai’s rapidly expanding residential communities.
The agreement was signed by Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, and Salim M.A., Director of Global Operations at Lulu Retail. In attendance were prominent figures including Essa Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai, and Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group, alongside other senior executives from both organizations.
Yusuffali M.A. expressed Lulu Group’s commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in Dubai, stating, “Our collaboration with Awqaf Dubai represents a significant step toward offering a superior and convenient shopping experience for residents and visitors, contributing to the long-term development of the city.
