Ramadan in Dubai

1. RTA to Offer Free Iftar Meals at Metro Stations

In the spirit of generosity and community during Ramadan, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the distribution of free Iftar meals at metro stations. This initiative aims to provide support to commuters and promote the values of sharing and togetherness during the holy month.
The RTA confirmed that free Iftar meals will be available at metro stations until the 24th of Ramadan, in collaboration with Noon Food.
Previously, the authority introduced a similar initiative benefiting bus drivers, laborers, delivery riders, truck drivers, and low-income individuals across key locations in Dubai.
This initiative is part of a broader community engagement program featuring 20 charitable and interactive events. These activities will take place at significant locations, including RTA headquarters, metro stations, and marine transport hubs, reinforcing the spirit of giving and inclusivity throughout Ramadan.

2. Spectacular Light Displays Illuminate 4 Iconic Mosques in Dubai This Ramadan

During the holy month of Ramadan, four of Dubai’s most iconic mosques will be adorned with breathtaking light projections, offering residents and visitors an unforgettable visual experience.
The Jumeirah Grand Mosque, Al Khawaneej Mosque (Al Habbai), Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Mosque (Al Hudaiba), and Zabeel Grand Mosque will feature intricate lighting displays that enhance their architectural splendor, blending tradition with cutting-edge technology.
This initiative adds an artistic dimension to Dubai’s Ramadan celebrations, with the entire structure—minarets, domes, and even mosque floors—illuminated with intricate designs that reflect the city’s cultural and artistic heritage.
According to Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, this initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision of merging art, technology, and cultural expression to enhance the community’s urban experience.

Meanwhile, Mahra Al Youha, a member of the organizing committee of the #RamadanInDubai campaign, emphasized how the project combines advanced lighting technology with artistic visuals, showcasing Dubai’s Islamic and cultural identity in a contemporary way.
Now in its second year, #RamadanInDubai, led by Brand Dubai in collaboration with government, semi-government, and private sector partners, continues to enhance the city’s festive atmosphere and celebrate its rich heritage throughout Ramadan.
Under the guidance of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, this initiative stands out as one of the key highlights of Ramadan in Dubai, bringing together tradition and innovation to create an immersive and meaningful experience.
