The United Arab Emirates has become a pioneering country in the Arab world to introduce a PhD program in Artificial Intelligence, as part of its transnational strategy to contribute to scientific knowledge and global technology leadership.
What’s New?
Launched as part of Dubai AI Week 2025, which took place from April 21-25, the PhD programme will be provided by the University of Birmingham Dubai, in collaboration with the UAE National Program for Artificial Intelligence and is fully validated by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Education, UAE.
Launched in the presence of His Highness SheikhHamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the initiative highlights UAE’s strategic push towards its National AI Strategy 2031 and also Dubai’s vision to establish itself as a global innovation hub for AI.
