UAE President Reaffirms Commitment to Global and Local Health Goals

On World Health Day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed took to social media to reaffirm the nation’s unwavering commitment to improving health both at home and globally. In his post, Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the importance of investing in health for a brighter future for societies, stating that health is a key development priority.

He highlighted that the UAE continues to promote a culture of healthy living, raise awareness about diseases, and mitigate their negative impacts on individuals, communities, and the nation. “On World Health Day, we reaffirm the UAE’s dedication to strengthening health as a top priority for development,” he said.

Sheikh Mohamed also underscored the UAE’s commitment to supporting global health efforts, particularly in addressing worldwide health challenges. He called for greater international cooperation and the promotion of innovations to benefit humanity as a whole.

This health initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader goals for 2025, which has been declared the Year of Community. Sheikh Mohamed also encouraged residents to contribute to improving the community, strengthening social bonds, and promoting sustainable growth for a better future.

With the Year of Community in focus, the UAE’s global standing is growing stronger. The nation’s recent leap in the World Happiness Index 2025, surpassing countries like the UK, the US, and Germany, reflects this. Additionally, the UAE ranks highly in charitable actions, placing 16th in global money donations and 19th for volunteering time.

However, despite these positive rankings, the UAE still has room for improvement, ranking 67th in the world for helping strangers.
