AQU Strategic Performance Forum: The Eye Openers and the Vision ahead
Al Qasimia University (AQU) organized Sunday the 3rd the Strategic Performance Forum for the academic year 2024/2025 themed “Effective Assessment and Sustainable Planning”. The conference was held in the conference hall at Aljada, Sharjah, and was attended by a wide range of stakeholders, such as university officials, faculty members, and advisory board members.
Looking Back, Thinking Forward Review of Strategic Performance Academic Year 2024/2025 
The forum was intended to discuss the institution’s strategic key performance indicators to 2024/2025. Those who did get together took the opportunity to consider the current strategic plan (2020-2025) and the developing-new strategic plan for (2025-2030). This visioning exercise will map the future of Al Qasimia University and help it to remain competitive in higher education.
Moulding the Future Perspective for 2025-2030
Prof. Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, the Chancellor of AQU, in his address, pointed out the continued development of AQU, supported by the constant support of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, and Ruler of Sharjah. Dr Al Khalaf said the forum is indicative of the university’s desire to scrutinise its performance sufficiently in order to plan sustainability over the next five years.
Highlights of Education and Research and Community Activity
Dr. Al Khalaf also reviewed the most prominent achievements of the university in terms of the educational process, scientific research, and community service. These are direct outcomes of strategic objectives that have been achieved and of the university’s commitment in creating sustainable collaborations with national, and international institutions. Moreover, the university sees more and more students coming to enroll from all over the world due to the wide variety of training and professional development programs.
The forum represented an important occasion for university leadership and relevant stakeholders to cherish previous achievements and to set high ambitions to move ahead with the next phase of the development of Al Qasimia University, positioning it as a leader in education as it moves forward.
Combining evaluation and sustainable planning in its strategic vision, AQU is setting the pace in the region and in the world as it continues to move forward as a model of excellence in academic and administrative practice.
