“Emirates to Hire Over 1,500 Pilots in Two Years”

Emirates, the UAE’s flagship airline, has announced plans to hire more than 1,500 new pilots over the next two years. This comes as the aviation industry marked World Pilots’ Day on April 26, celebrating the critical role pilots play in global travel.

Based in Dubai, Emirates is actively seeking experienced pilots for a range of positions, including direct entry captains, accelerated command pilots, first officers type rated, and First Officers non-type rated. The airline is committed to expanding its talented flight crew, currently comprising 4,600 members.

Since 2022, Emirates has successfully recruited nearly 2,000 new pilots, and the company is accelerating its hiring efforts this year. With roadshows planned in more than 40 cities worldwide, including upcoming visits to Norway, Finland, and Sweden in May, the airline aims to hire over 550 pilots in 2024 alone.

The airline is renowned for offering its pilots competitive tax-free salaries, profit-sharing benefits, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes life, medical, and dental coverage, along with a world-class retirement and provident fund. Emirates pilots also fly the airline’s state-of-the-art fleet, which includes the world’s youngest aircraft, consisting of 261 wide-body Airbus A380s, Boeing 777s, and the recently added Airbus A350.

Emirates’ fast-track Accelerated Command programme has been a standout feature, helping First Officers advance to the role of Captain, with more than 80 pilots already progressing through this pathway. This initiative demonstrates the airline’s commitment to fostering leadership and growth within its ranks.

As the aviation industry rebounds and global travel continues to rise, Emirates is positioning itself for long-term success by investing in its pilots and expanding its world-class fleet.
