Flydubai will be back in the skies to Syria after they declare new flights in the next month or so, according to the airline’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith, who spoke to members of the press at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai. Al Ghaith added the carrier is also in the process of ironing out the operational aspects for the flights to make sure that the service matches the standard turnover.
“We are currently studying the operational aspects of our flights to Syria,” Al Ghaith said. “Flydubai will reveal its schedule of flights to Syria in near future and we are eager to start as soon as all preparations are ready,” the statement quoted its CEO Ghaith al-Ghaith as saying.
The move follows Flydubai’s endorsement of the recent GCAA directive aimed at increasing air links in the region. Flydubai said it was coordinating with the appropriate authorities for safe and smooth operations. The carrier said that a schedule for return flights would be communicated once all approvals and arrangements have been completed. 
The renewed service of Flydubai to Syria follows a similar positive action by Syrian Airlines, which resumed flights to Dubai International Airport at the beginning of April 2025. The resumption of direct flights between Syria and UAE strengthens the increasing connectivity between the two countries.
