The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has partnered with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank to introduce the “Digital Wallet,” a groundbreaking step in the UAE’s broader digital transformation of government services. The wallet is designed to simplify and speed up corporate payments for MoHRE services, enabling businesses to settle fees and financial obligations instantly.
The launch of the wallet marks a significant move toward fully integrated financial services for businesses, aligning with the UAE’s vision for efficient, transparent, and accessible government services. Corporate customers can register for the “Digital Wallet” through MoHRE’s platform under the “Electronic Wallet Registration for Companies” service. Once approved by the bank, companies can immediately begin using the wallet to manage payments.
Mohammed Saqr Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services at MoHRE, emphasized that this initiative is just the first step in the expansion of the Digital Wallet service. Plans include partnering with additional banks to enhance financial inclusivity and further improve the ease of doing business in the UAE, reinforcing the country’s status as a global business hub.
The Digital Wallet initiative is part of the UAE’s comprehensive push to modernize government services, as seen in its Zero Bureaucracy Program. This program has already significantly reduced bureaucratic hurdles, allowing businesses to complete necessary transactions faster and with fewer visits. By streamlining business operations, the digital wallet is expected to support greater efficiency, enhance competitiveness, and foster a more business-friendly environment.
In line with the UAE’s broader digital ambitions, MoHRE continues to innovate, integrating artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies into its services. The ministry has made significant strides in its digital journey, processing over 34 million smart transactions in 2024—a 59% increase from the previous year. These efforts have been recognized with numerous awards for efficiency and innovation in government services.
As part of its ongoing digital transformation, the ministry has completed the second phase of its Zero Bureaucracy Program, successfully reducing the transaction completion time from 30 working days to just 5, with several services now available instantly.
