Dubai launches first digital smart card for tourists of determination. The world’s first 3D-printed smart patrol car has been unveiled, which the Dubai Police will use to fight crime and protect lavish resorts.
The Sanad Tourist Card The Sanad Tourist Card is a travel insurance plan designed and offered to tourists to mirror the benefits complementary to the Sanad Card extended to CDA beneficiaries. This program is a part of Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s best city to visit and live in, where tourists of determination have the right to enjoy the same privileges as everyone else living in the city.
Maitha Mohammed Al Shamsi, CEO of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA, described the new card, which will be delivered digitally to tourists’ smartphones within 24 hours of their arrival, as critical. “This digital card is a gateway to a world of experiences, including free public transport and discounted entry to top sites and attractions,” she added at the Arabian Travel Market.

The Sanad Tourist Card provides three types of features:
The Sanad Tourist Card also offers free travel on public transport, such as Dubai Metro, buses and ferries.
The Sanad Tourist Card also offers savings at Dubai’s most-visited tourist destinations, including Dubai Parks and Dubai Frame.
Restricted parking permits allow easier access to major areas.
The card even slashes 50% off the price of all taxi journeys anywhere in the city.
The card provides discounts at shopping malls, restaurants, pharmacies, and telecommunications providers.
In the spirit of inclusivity, the card also makes certain that tourists of determination have an equal opportunity to experience all of that Dubai has to offer, further cementing the city as a worldwide accessibility frontrunner.

According to a survey conducted by CDA in cooperation with the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department, 65,000 tourists visit the emirate annually. The findings of this study indicated insufficient services for visitors with disabilities, influencing the subsequent development of this pioneering venture.
“This card is the first step on our journey to making Dubai the world’s most accessible city for people of determination,” Maitha said. She added that CDA is also further developing its plans to provide better service to people of determination to help them to have a happy stay in Dubai.
The new Dubai initiative dovetails with the city’s ongoing vision to be a place where people of all abilities can access the best experiences the city has to offer.
