Ariazah also said Wynn Marjan Al Marjan, which is building a $3.9billion integrated gaming resort in Ras Al Khaimah, will generate 7,500 jobs of all kinds in the massive employment campaign. Although the resort is scheduled to open in March 2027, the hiring process would start approximately six months before the official opening date, which would be around September 2026.
Michael Weaver, Wynn Resorts’ Chief Communication Officer, said the resort will bring employment opportunity across fields including room attendants, restaurant workers, bartenders, as well as jobs in finance, IT and marketing. Wynn Al Marjan will also show that it had hired staff for its gaming facility by the end of 2026 – approximately a year before the opening date – to ensure they have been trained in advance of the operation.
“We’re essentially building a small city with a variety of employment opportunities from front-line service jobs to specialized positions in marketing and finance,” Weaver said. “The resort will serve locals taking staycations and international tourists and we are committed to training our team long in advance to provide a wonderful experience for all of our guests.”
The accommodation that will come with 22 restaurants, 1,500 hotel rooms, a spa and a marina will be the first of its kind in the UAE after the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) granted its first ever license for a commercial gaming operator. It will offer an unparalleled gaming experience on a global scale, along with a variety of other amenities, such as entertainment, dining and rejuvenation.
Weaver said gaming is only part of what a resort offers and people would come to stay overnight for the multiple facets of the resort such as a beach club, nightclub, as well as a show that will only be available at the Westmoreland location. The gaming offering at Wynn Al Marjan will depend on the UAE’s gaming laws.
‘Wynn Al Marjan is designed to have a global appeal, and provide people with an immersive experience like no other. “Foreign tourists, particularly those coming from Europe, India and Russia, are likely to extend their visit here longer than in any other place. The layout of the resort is built around attracting longer stays with plenty of comfort amenities,” Weaver said.
Aside from the job creation and boost to tourism that they will promote, Wynn Al Marjan puts a great emphasis on responsible gaming. Wynn Resorts has a mandate to train their employees every year in recognizing and helping guests with gambling problems.
Wynn Resorts stands confidently in its resort’s world-class amenities, stringent regulation and a tourism market that only becomes more competitive in the UAE’s blooming gaming industry.” Wynn is looking forward to what the future holds in the region, particularly because the UAE is a strong business hub.
